Johnny
D. Lee {Guitar
and Vocals} started playing the guitar when he was twelve years old in Gadsden,
AL. He never took any music lessons, instead, he played mostly by ear. He
has educated himself musically by watching other guitarists. As a child,
he dreamt of playing in a band and so as he got older, he was always trying
to put one together. At the age of 25, he played in a band called Lake
Front and traveled around Alabama, Georgia and South Carolina playing
mostly southern rock. After that venture, Johnny took a 13-year break from
his music, which he very much regrets, but started back in the business
once he settled down. He now wanted to play country music, which at the
time, had changed progressively. Around August of 1996, he began to form
Knight Riders. The group has reformed a few times, but
always in a positive manner and has evolved into the band you see today.
For Knight Riders, Johnny plays rhythm and lead guitar as well as adding
vocals and booking the band's performances. |
